Do you try to match the existing finish that is on your house? A lot of people will go for the second option and will even use the same color and type of siding that is on their house. You will never regret using the best quality finish that you can get, if you do your shed will keep its beauty and stay sound for many years to come and it will be well worth the extra expense.

If you can master some basic carpentry skills, can use a saw, hammer, screwdriver, measuring tape and a level then a do it yourself shed kit may be just the thing for you. You do not need to have years of carpentry experience to do this, it is not all that complicated and every do it yourself shed kit will come with some very simple and easy to follow directions. If you feel that you can do this it may even be an option to just purchase a quality set of shed plans and build your storage shed from scratch. It is usually no more difficult than building a do it yourself shed kit and will save you some money.
