Tallinn is a beautiful, historic city packed with things to see and do - perhaps too many to fit in the short duration of your stay there!

If you want to go on a whirlwind tour of Tallinn's biggest sights and attractions, you have a lot of choices to sift through.

You could begin in the Town Hall Square, where you can see the historic Town Hall and Town Hall Pharmacy buildings.

The latter is a notable sight because it remains the oldest continuously running pharmacy in Europe.

Other attractions include the Old Town's surrounding wall and towers, which were constructed during the 14th century.

Almost 2 km of the original wall can be seen, as well as 20 defensive towers. Some of these can be entered by members of the public, offering an intriguing insight into the history of the city.

For shopaholics, Tallinn has stores for every taste and budget - luxury shoppers might want to check out the boutiques on Viru and Muurivahe streets in the Old Town, while the city markets are a great place to visit if you want to haggle for a bargain.
